RADIAL SB1 ACTIVE DIRECT BOX - (LIGHT BLUE)
Description
The Radial SB-1 is a high-performance active direct box made for musicians on the go. Designed to fit inside a guitar case, the SB-1 is Radial's smallest DI box. But don't let the size fool you... this ultra-compact StageBug sounds absolutely fantastic!
The design starts with the standard ¼" instrument input with a thru output to feed your tuner or amp on stage. The ultra-quiet active circuitry simultaneously converts the signal from high to low impedance to reduce susceptibility to noise, monitors and then balances the signal for long distances to the PA system. and delivers 48 volts of power, the SB-1 requires no batteries or external power to make it work. Simply plug in and you're ready to play!
The active circuit features a carefully selected 220k ohm input impedance to eliminate loading issues while delivering a smooth, warm sound to your audio system. This is particularly important when interconnecting vintage guitars with low-output pickups, where you should plan to do some recording or reamping. The SB-1 is also equipped with a -15dB pad that reduces input sensitivity to gracefully handle even the loudest instruments. This makes the SB-1 perfectly suited for electric bass and keyboards. To reduce feedback, moving the polarity switch 180° helps eliminate hot spots on the stage that can cause low-frequency resonance.
